The loss of a loved one is heart breaking.  I envisioned my mother's presence forever and her ability to answer the questions about those before her.  Now that she has left so unexpectedly, I wonder who is left to uncover the secret treasurers of my ancestry.  I wish I had found the Notable Legacy Journal before she left me with so many unanswered thoughts.  In her absence I shall strive to create her journal while I begin my own.

My family and I were preparing for Hurricane Katrina.  My thoughts, grab the important papers, the photos and all valuable information.  It was a nightmare!  Everything was not in one place, the documentation was scattered everywhere.  We were spared.  However, we lost many treasured photos, noteworthy papers and policies.  I discovered the Notable Legacy Journal recently and realized this was the perfect chronicle to store and document my family and personal legacy.  This journal would have been the first item I would have retrieved.

I am in the military and have received orders for my deployment overseas.  I was instructed to have all my affairs in order.  I have never truly prepared myself for such final decisions.  Afterall, I am still so young.  My mother presented me with a Notable Legacy Journal.  The contents were so detailed; I only needed to fill in the blanks.  There were pages for me to enter my own personal thoughts and wishes.  God forbid, should I not return; I'm comforted by the thought that my personal Legacy will be carried on.
